Human Geography Socio-Cultural Analyst, Senior
Key Role :
Perform all-source analytic products of socio-cultural elements within a region, human terrain, and human geography (HG).
Analyze linguistic, ethnic, social, tribal, and occupational domains with respect to geography and resources to characterize the dynamics of groups of people worldwide.
Incorporate expertise in sociology, cultural anthropology, demography, psychology, geography, economics, and political science.
Provide subject matter expertise (SME) in situational awareness, intelligence production, and analysis involving specific countries of interest as assigned.
Collaborate with members of the intelligence community (IC) and Open-Source Libraries to identify and acquire information and sources required concerning the analytic process to create and exploit human geography datasets.
Identify, obtain, and exploit all available unique geospatial datasets from all available sources in community interoperable formats and inform the process for organizing the information in viable databases.
Develop standard operating procedures (SOP) and user guides for HG modeling for common Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) software platforms.
Exploit necessary data sources and user-controlled individual variables and indicators to enable users to produce specific data sets in their exploitation environment.
Determine appropriate datasets and recommendations on weighting factors for various variables or indicators. Develop educational seminars for onsite personnel and an online tutorial on the modeling capability of the Situational Awareness Tools (SAT).
Develop or modify models as required, while developing additional best practice methods for exposing or optimizing existing results via Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) compliant web services.
Basic Qualifications :
8+ years of experience in performing socio-cultural analysis
Experience with common Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) software platforms
Knowledge of all-source analytic production of standard and non-standard HG
Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative analytic methodologies
Ability to conduct in-depth analysis of analytic operations and knowledge management issues across organizational and IC boundaries and clearly articulate findings
Ability to review analytic products for cogent arguments, tradecraft standards, and adequate support for conclusions
TS / SCI clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
