GPRS Core Values :Job Summary :
The Safety Coordinator, reporting to the Safety, Quality, and Training (SQT) Leader, will manage the administrative needs of the SQT department at GPRS.
Responsibilities include fulfilling client and field requests for pre-access purposes, assisting with the development and updating of safety training and policies, educating the GPRS Field team on safety programs tailored to our services, assigning training, creating safety documents, and managing safety portals like ISN, Avetta, and Veriforce.
Job Goals :
- Ensure the timely completion of all compliance requests : Strive to complete 100% of compliance requests promptly, meeting all regulatory and organizational deadlines.
- Maintain and optimize the safety portal : Continuously manage and update it to ensure it remains a reliable and accessible resource for all team members, with current information and tools available.
- Maintain and regularly update policy / handbook documentation : Ensure all safety policies and handbooks are consistently reviewed, maintained, and updated to reflect the latest industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibilities :
- Ensure timely and accurate responses to all safety-related inquiries from employees, management, and external stakeholders, providing necessary guidance and support
- Oversee the management of workplace incidents, including OSHA recordable cases and other jobsite incidents
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all incidents in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Assist with the design and creation of comprehensive safety training programs, policies, and procedures tailored to the specific needs of construction sites
- Ensure all safety materials are up-to-date and aligned with industry standards
- Manage the assignment and tracking of all employee training and certification requirements
- Monitor compliance and ensure that all personnel maintain current certifications as required by the job
- Oversee the management of safety-related portals, ensuring that all information is current, accessible, and effectively utilized
- Regularly update the portal with new resources, training materials, and compliance documents
- Collaborate with other internal departments to complete requests and update policy
Qualifications / Minimum Requirements :
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a safety related position or department
- High School diploma or equivalent
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Possess excellent and effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Self-motivated and hardworking
- Possess effective organization skills demonstrating the ability to prioritize and execute an ever-changing workload
- Display problem-solving skills within back-of-house operations tasks
- Possess a general understanding of administrative safety needs for field operations and field services
- OSHA 30 preferred, but not required
