Job Title : Fabrication Sales Representative Madison, WI

Job Summary : The Fabrication Sales Representative is responsible for working with customers seeking sheet metal fabrication and managing projects through the fabrication process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Actively pursue and acquire new fabrication business through developing and maintaining strong client, vendor, and co-worker relationships.
• Proactively cross-sell products and services to existing customer base as well as prospect for new business.
• Keep informed of industry trends, check on competitive activity, and develop new methods of attaining new business.
• Effectively communicate with customers and fellow IKM team members.
• Work closely with other members of sales, estimating, and project execution team.
• Review construction documents and understands scope of work to bid.
• Prepare and submit detailed proposals.
• Project manage awarded fabrication projects, including logistics.
• Work with contract administrator to manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the customer.
• Perform sales forecasting and planning.
• Manage the requisition of supplies and materials to complete project.
• Maintain up to date working and technical knowledge of all procedural and improvement changes to computer hardware and software applications.
• Actively works with superintendents and team leaders to improve processes and flow of production.
• Participates in department meetings as requested.
• Performs additional assignments as requested and maintains a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications :

• At least years of experience in HVAC / fabrication / production estimating or project management
• Have the ability to read and understand technical specifications, construction plans and contract requirements
• Duct fabrication and / or manufacturing experience is preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
