A rapidly growing technology company is looking for full-time Shipping and Receiving Associate in their manufacturing operations.
The shipping & receiving associate is responsible for activities to support the overall manufacturing operations, including tasks critical to the successful functioning of our enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and quality management system (QMS).
The hours are Monday through Friday, 8AM to 4 : 30PM. This is a temp to hire position and pay starts at $20 / hour. Once hired, a competitive employee benefits package is available.
Shipping and Receiving Associate Responsibilities :
Shipping :
- Support daily shipping priorities and schedule
- Collect, validate accuracy, and prepare finalized products for shipment
- Produce product labels for bags and boxes per sales order specifications
- Professionally and securely package products
- Use online computer system for shipping (UPS, USPS, FedEx, and other providers)
- Complete Airway Bill / Bill of Lading and all applicable documentation for carriers
- Scan QMS documentation for each order and electronically file into ERP system Receiving :
- Receive incoming shipments and route to the appropriate department
- Match product received with purchase order and vendor packing slip to verify received product accuracy
- Assist with quality inspections on incoming shipments
- Manage receiving purchase orders documentation flow to accounting and quality control
- Interact with Purchasing to verify received product accuracy and quality
- Keep shipping area neat, clean, and organized
Shipping and Receiving Associate Basic Requirements :
- Minimum Education : high school diploma or GED
- Read, write, and speak English
- Team player and able to work well with other members of our team
- Quick learner and have a desire to work on multiple tasks and expand knowledge
- Ability to stay calm and focused in a challenging environment
- Committed to self-improvement and helping our company succeed
- 2 years of shipping / receiving, warehousing, and logistics experience in a manufacturing environment
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel)
- Prior experience with computerized inventory control systems
- Experience with shipping and receiving paperwork (bills of lading)
- Experience with shipper software (UPS, USPS, FedEx, DHL)
- Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks
- Good analytical and critical thinking skills
- Able to work on feet for most of shift and to lift 25+ pounds
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to) : $19.00 - $20.00 Per Hour
