Summary of Job Duties :

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Complete intake process for student enrollment
  • Maintain minutes for all interdepartmental meetings
  • Complete all other job duties and tasks as assigned
  • Work closely with Lead Paraprofessional, Instructors, and Career Coaches.
  • Attend required trainings
  • Assist with records management with both North & South Campuses
  • Administer pre- and post- assessments to students of T.A.B.E., Readiness and

or Oral Best if applicable.

  • Input student records into online data management system (LACES)
  • Student records management
  • Answer phone and disseminate program information
  • Filing
  • Copy and scan materials (MFD)

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); six months or more related experience

and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions,

and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak

effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with I O's and I 00's. Ability

to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and

distance.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral

instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized

situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge Computer skills : data

management; internet; email; MICROSOFT Office. Office Machines : copier, fax, SCANTRON, phone system, laminator. Phone skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of Paraprofessional, Office Management, or Business Management experience.
  • 1-2 years clerical experience
  • Associate's degree in Education, Business, or Management
  • Experience with and or knowledgeable about SNAP and WAGE
  • Knowledgeable about Adult Basic Education and processes
  • Experience with LACES, DRC, and CANVAS systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Office 365
