Madden Industrial Craftsman is looking for an experienced Plant Electrician with an Oregon License to lead a team for their client who specializes in aerospace and industrial engineering, jet aircraft engines, airframes, industrial gas turbine (IGT) engines, military armaments, medical prosthesis, and a diverse array of industrial markets.
This client is located in Portland, Oregon.

- $42 - $55 / hr to start
Key Responsibilities :
- Electrical System Maintenance : Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on electrical systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Installation : Install new electrical components and systems, including wiring, control panels, and sensors, following blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer specifications.
- Repairs : Diagnose and repair electrical faults in a timely manner, minimizing downtime and preventing production interruptions.
- Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety protocols, electrical codes, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and modifications, and update electrical schematics as needed.
- Collaboration : Work closely with other maintenance staff, engineers, and production teams to resolve electrical issues and improve system reliability.
- Emergency Response : Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and perform necessary repairs to restore operations quickly.
- Continuous Improvement : Participate in training and development opportunities to stay current with industry standards and best practices.
Qualifications :
Education : High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in Electrical Technology or a related field preferred.
Experience : Minimum of 3 years of experience as an industrial electrician, with experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment highly desirable.
Skills :
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control circuits, and industrial machinery.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Certifications : Valid PJ or General electrician's license for Oregon
Physical Requirements :
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and tools.
- Capable of standing, kneeling, and working in confined spaces for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including noisy and potentially hazardous areas.
