Under general supervision, and according to establishedpolicies and procedures, will provide excellent customer service by greetingpatients, answering the phone and directing the caller as appropriate.
Performsduties across all physician practices, patient registration, schedulingappointments, collecting insurance co-pays and deductibles, insuranceverification, records financial activity and accounts for all transactionscompleted on each shift.
Provides continuity of flow of incoming and outgoingcommunication. Cross training in all practices, filing and retrieval of patientmedical records is also necessary, along with maintenance of a neat and orderlyoffice.
Required :
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 1 year of experience in office setting or high level customer service environment.
Preferred :
- Experience in a medical office.
- Experience with insurance billing procedures
- Experience with an electronic medical record system
- Knowledge of medical terminology
