Security Receptionist I

Description

Escort contractors / monitor contractor activities in the Hobart Plant. Perform administrative duties as directed by supervisor.

Essential Functions

Promote and adhere to safety requirements Actively participate in general site and departmental Safety initiatives. Follow safe working practices in the execution of their assigned duties.

Provide physical escort to assigned contractors within the building. Perform administrative duties as directed by supervisor.

Rotate from building to building to assist in contractor escort duties. Inform coordinators and facilitators as needed of contractor activity within the building.

Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to good housekeeping practices. Ensure active participation in the site’s safety program.

Other duties as necessary to assist with compliance in mechanical integrity, EHS, and DEA. Communicate courteously and professionally at all organizational levels.

Physical / Visual Activities or Demands that are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job :

Ability to stand / sit for 12 hours per day in both internal and external building conditions. Exposure to extreme cold and heat are conditions of the position.

Ability to utilize PPE.

Environmental / Atmospheric Conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job :

Protective clothing including uniform, smock, safety glasses, safety shoes, booties, hairnet and gloves are worn continuously in performance of the job functions.

Work hazards include proximity to moving mechanical equipment, exposure to active product and dust, odors, cleaning solvents, loud noise, and vibration.

Minimum Requirements

Requires basic knowledge of arithmetic, spelling, English, and grammar equivalent to a high school education.

Ability to comprehend and carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form and deal with problems involving standardized situations.

Perform reading, writing and speaking at a basic level. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Basic eye-hand coordination.
