Job Description :
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team at Alum Rock Union School District in San Jose, CA.
As an RBT, you will play a crucial role in providing one-on-one support to students in need, assisting them in achieving their academic and behavioral goals.
This position requires working under the direction of School Psychologists and collaborating with school staff to ensure the success of each student.
Key Responsibilities :
Work with students on a one-on-one basis to implement behavior intervention plans and strategies provided by School Psychologists.
Collect and record data on student behavior and progress regularly as part of the assessment and intervention process.
Assist students in improving social, communication, and adaptive skills as outlined in their individualized education plans (IEPs).
Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment for students.
Supervision by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or other qualified professional will be required during sessions with students.
Maintain professional and ethical conduct while adhering to district policies and procedures.
Qualifications :
Previous experience as an RBT is strongly recommended.
Possession of a valid RBT certification.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred but not required.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
Knowledge of behavior intervention techniques and strategies.
Work Environment :
The RBT position will involve working across multiple school sites within Alum Rock Union School District. A rotation schedule may be implemented to ensure equal support and engagement with different students.
