Position Overview :

The Staff Estimator will play a crucial role in preparing accurate and competitive estimates and proposals to support our engineering and construction projects.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, engage with a diverse clientele, and make impactful contributions from day one.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and present detailed estimates, bids, and proposals
  • Assemble and analyze material and labor costs for construction projects
  • Conduct subcontractor solicitation, pre-qualification, and evaluation
  • Develop comprehensive project summary schedules and estimating strategies
  • Review plans and specifications for risk issues and propose mitigation strategies
  • Support pre-construction services and joint venture reviews
  • Ensure the accuracy and validity of estimate clarifications and assumptions
  • Research cost history and update databases
  • Prepare and deliver bid packages to subcontractors

What We’re Looking For :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (applicable experience may substitute for the degree requirement)
  • Minimum of 3 years of direct project estimating experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ConEst, and K-Base
  • Strong analytical and creative thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to make quick, sound decisions
  • OSHA 10-hour certification
