The Sales Group Field Sales Engineer (FSE) is a technical sales specialist that will work in complete alignment with the Commercial Audio / NEXO (Audio B2B) sales team.
Like the entirety of the Audio B2B sales team, the priority is to close sales and grow business, with the approach being from a technical perspective focusing on pre-sales and design support to secure prospective projects.
The territory for this position will cover the United States and will report to the Business Development Sales Manager.
Key Accountabilities Include
- Ensure individual sales targets are achieved for assigned vertical(s)
- Identify and promote system value proposition for channel partners
- Ensure project opportunities are secured
- Ensure positive end user and channel partner experiences
- Ensure business cases for system designs achieve channel partner and end user needs
Primary Responsibilities Include
- Deliver designs and quotations to channel partners and end-users in support of AB2B sales plan.
- Provide pre-sales engineering and design support to channel partners and end-users.
- Communicate competitive and industry trends to YCA and YCJ technical stakeholders.
- Provide technical training on YCA products to internal and external stakeholders.
- Log and track due dates and designs associated with ongoing projects.
- Assist with technical training of new sales team members.

Qualifications
Ideal
- Audio industry design, installation, and / or production experience.
- Experience with audio design / prediction software systems.
- Proficiency with office productivity software.
- Travel up to 50%; includes some nights and weekends.
- No geographic requirements.
Preferred
- 3+ years audio design or technical sales experience.
- Ability to work with design and product software platforms like NEXO NS-1, Yamaha ProVisionnaire, or competitive equivalents.
- Ability to create and present high-level designs and quotations on Yamaha / NEXO products.
- Ability to communicate value proposition of Yamaha / NEXO systems to both internal and external
stakeholders.
