Hanson Dodge an AdAge Best Places to Work agency for 2021 and 2022, and AdAge’s 2022 Midwest Small Agency of The Year (Silver) is seeking a seasoned media leader with 10+ years’ experience.
We’re looking for a proven professional with boundless curiosity to lead our teams in the development of strategic, results-driven and insightful media plans.
The right candidate will have demonstrable experience leading the full cycle of media programs from planning through measurement using digital and traditional channels.
The AMD will work collaboratively with direct reports, cross-functional teams, other agency stakeholders and clients, while reporting directly to the executive media director.
This person will help Hanson Dodge advance well-known, ambitious brands in categories such as CPG and consumer hard goods.
REQUIREMENTS
- 10 or more years of experience in media strategy, buying and execution across all channels (digital and traditional)
- Has led media staff within an integrated, full-service agency
- Well-versed in programs aimed at driving Direct to Consumer / ecommerce results
- Media expertise spans the full spectrum of the media process : strategy, research, buying, execution, analysis and reporting
- An enthusiastic and effective presenter, communicator, and champion of the media discipline
- A hands-on leader and team player with a track record of building strong client relationships and inspiring internal colleagues
- Has both an eye for detail and an ability to see the big picture
- Experience with analytics and performance marketing is a plus
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work directly with clients to solve their business challenges, resulting in measurable success for clients and organic growth opportunities for the agency
- Be the agency’s primary point of contact with leaders in client organizations on assigned accounts
- Serve as team leader in developing integrated, multichannel plans with flawless execution, including preparation of media budgets, schedules of insertions, contracts and supporting materials, and reporting
- Leverage an advanced knowledge of paid digital media practices including strategy, tactical execution, ad serving, optimization and reporting, counsel and train other team members in these areas as well
- Uncover ongoing opportunities to improve buying influence, and to ensure HD has detailed, timely information on market conditions
- Analyze data and research and put it into action
- Manage, train and mentor direct reports
