Auto Glass Technician Trainer Job Description
Title : Auto Glass Technician Trainer
Reports To : Branch Manager
The primary focus of the Auto Glass Technician Trainer is to providing training and guidance to aspiring auto technicians, as well as conducting ongoing training to experienced technicians to review and improve skills and knowledge.
Training in replacement and repair broken windshields and window glass in motor vehicles and equipment using proper tools and methods to ensure quality installation while following all Speedy Glass Safety Policies and Procedure Guidelines.
The Auto Glass Technician Trainer will share knowledge, skill and be responsible for Auto Glass Replacements, Auto Glass Repairs, safety glass installation, heating element replacement, keeping their work area clean and free of debris, and all other duties as assigned.
They shall promote the highest level of quality of all abilities listed to ensure a well informed and confidant Auto Glass Technician will result.

Job Duties
- Conduct training for new and experienced technicians ensuring they have a solid understanding of auto glass repair and replacement techniques.
- Evaluate trainees to assess their progress and identify areas where they need additional support and training.
- Provide feedback to trainees highlighting areas where additional training is needed.
- Stay up to date with developments in the auto glass industry.
- Replaces all moldings, clips, windshield wipers, and any other parts removed during replacement or repair of glass.
- Cut flat safety glass according to specified patterns or perform precision pattern making and glass cutting to custom fit replacement glass.
- Replace or adjust motorized or manual window raising mechanisms.
- Recalibrate ADAS after the replacement of broken windshields as required.
- Perform Post-Inspection after Recalibration as required.
- Provide all documents and photo documentation to Branch following Recalibration as required.
- Responsible for the appearance of customer’s vehicle / equipment after installation of glass.
- Complies with all safety policies and procedures.
- All other duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements
- High School or equivalent (GED)
- Organizational skills
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as Auto Technician
- Ability to take direction and follow procedures
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
- Excellent driving record as well as a valid driver's license
