Position Overview : The mobile equipment operator reports to the Melt Supervisor and is responsible for maintaining in-shop inventory, emptying slag tubs, related cleanup, and assist with all other aspects of melt operations.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Operate a variety of mobile equipment such as forklift, skid steer loader, excavator, and overhead cranes as needed
- Assist with refractory work
- Keep work area clean
- Alert supervisor to any safety or quality issues needing attention
- Alert supervisor to any maintenance needs
- Recommend process improvements
- Participate in special activities, projects, and programs in order to support Bradken’s safety, quality, and productivity goals
- Other duties as assigned or requested
Experience :
Prefer previous manufacturing experience
Qualifications :
- Ability to work with limited direct supervision
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Must have valid driver’s license
Physical Requirements :
- Must be able to use arms, hands, legs and feet in repetitive motions
- Able to twist, stoop bend, and stand in the performance of job duties
- Must be able to lift 55 pounds repetitively
- Must be able to lift 85 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to stand and walk on concrete floors and uneven surfaces for the duration of the work shift
- Must have good vision and depth perception
- Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment
Pay Range : $19.97 - $23.53 / hr (Depending on experience)
Shift : Monday-Friday, 6 : 00 AM - 2 : 30 PM (Must be available for OT if needed)
