SUMMARY
We are looking for a Director of Sales to lead our sales team at one of our domestic-brand dealerships in Alexandria, VA.
- If you enjoy delivering results; managing a team of managers, finance, and Sales Consultants; inspiring and training new Sales staff;
- setting and exceeding goals; and delivering an excellent customer experience we want to talk to you! Previous management experience is required;
used car management experience is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set and exceed sales goals for units, gross, finance, and customer experience score
- Implement and manage a comprehensive training program to hire and develop new Sales Consultants
- Involvement in all Internet leads
- Ensure a thriving, profitable, and consistent Used Car Department
- Manage the appraisal of used cars and take in as many trades as possible
- Understand and approve reconditioning process while maintaining a productive relationship with the Service Department
- Manage new and pre-owned inventory for maximum effectiveness in turn and profitability
- Ensure Finance Department is meeting benchmarks and perform T.O.s for warranties, protection packages, and other products
- Report regularly on Sales Department goals and progress with GM and Executive Office
- Ensure all customers have a positive dealership experience and encourage Google reviews
- Involve yourself in all incoming and outgoing customer traffic to ensure maximum close rate
- Ability to understand manufacturer programs and use them to maximize profitability
- Be able to resolve customer complaints and concerns effectively without further escalation
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous Dealership Management Experience, preferably with Used Cars
- Demonstrated ability to manage others
- Friendly personality and the ability to get along with all personalities for customers and coworkers
- Internal desire to succeed and overcome any obstacle in your way
