Job Description
Gold Cross Services is the leading billing and collection agency for ambulance claims in the state of Utah. We are currently looking for employees who are responsible for accurate and timely billing for medical transportation claims, assisting patients over the phone with their questions and concerns, and all other aspects of the billing process.
Our mission is to provide the best customer service experience possible by helping individuals navigate their insurance and payment options to resolve claims and help them in anyway possible.
This is a full time position Monday thru Friday 8 : 00 to 5 : 00 with available benefits such as health and dental insurance, 401k and HSA matches, and Vacation and Sick time.
Starting pay is $18.00 plus incentives when fully trained. Incentive is up to 15% of your base pay, which is up to $442.
00 extra per month for new employees. This position will be in our corporate office in Salt Lake City, as we currently do not have any remote positions available.
Responsibilities
- Representatives are the primary contact with customers by answering patient calls and assist them with questions regarding their transport, related charges, verifying pertinent demographic information, appeals, and other items related to billing.
- Working directly with the insurance company, healthcare provider, and patient to get a claim processed and paid,
- Identifying correct insurances to be billed and done so correctly according to state regulations and contractual obligations,
- Reaching out to patients to complete necessary information in order to process claim.
- Setting up payment arrangements and financial hardship.
- Completing correspondence and other items sent in by patients and insurance companies.
- Perform all other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous customer service experience is preferred (but not required).
- Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
- Experience with Microsoft Suite of Products (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Excellent Oral and Written communication.
- Must demonstrate problem-solving abilities and high attention to detail.
- Must be able to stand, walk, sit and move freely for extended periods of time.
- Work well in a group and individual setting.
- Desire to learn and understand new concepts.
