Clerical & Admin Specialist
NorthStar Memorial Group is seeking a Clerical & Admin Specialist at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas. Our administrative teams assume the crucial role of ensuring seamless operations throughout every stage of the delicate client family life cycle, from the initial meeting with families, until final arrangements are made. We serve as the cornerstone of our client family support structure, acting as the glue that holds everything together. We are problem solvers and peace-of-mind-providers - we implement checks and balances to maintain consistency and uphold our commitment to care in every interaction.
Responsibilities
- Process Pre-Need and At-Need Funeral and Cemetery Contracts
- Process contract adjustment forms when applicable
- Monitor periodic reports and / or simple financial analysis
- Provide problem resolution to internal customers
- Manage and process Accounts Receivables transactions timely
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
- File insurance claims related to funeral and / or cemetery services
- Communicate with insurance companies to verify and track claim status
- Maintain detailed records of insurance filings, payments, and denials
- Collaborate with advisors and / or directors to gather necessary documentation for insurance claims
- Process deposits via Wells Fargo and enter / update payments via ChasePay when applicable
- Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive financial and personal information
Qualifications
Valid driver's licenseHigh School Diploma or equivalentComputer knowledge (Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, HMIS, word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software)2+ years of administrative support experienceCompensation
