SMS Staffing Inc. is Hiring Immediately for a skilled Staffing Specialist!
Job Title : Staffing Specialist (Recruiter)
Job Location : Gurnee, IL
Job Type : Contract (temp to hire)
Pay : $19.00 - $23.50 / Hr (depending on experience)
Hours : 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM, Monday to Friday
The role of the Staffing Specialist (Recruiter) :
- Source Candidates - utilize various channels (job boards, social media, etc.) to attract candidates.
- Screen Resumes - Review applications to identify qualified candidates based on experience and skills.
- Conduct Interviews - Organize and conduct interviews to assess candidates' fit for roles.
- Onboarding - manage the onboarding process of new hires to ensure a smooth transition into a new role.
- Maintain records, build relationships, coordinate hiring processes (full-cycle recruiting).
About the Staffing Specialist (Recruiter) :
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience :
- Conduct orientations, schedule assignments, assist management with training and coaching needs for contingent work staff.
- Verify I-9 documentation and W-2 Tax forms.
- Process new employee background checks, follow up on pre-employment screenings.
- Orientate new employees on company policies and safety expectations.
- Maintain and present weekly reports to the area manager.
- Other duties as needed.
Staffing Specialist (Recruiter) Requirements :
- 1-2 years of relevant experience as a Staffing Recruiter.
- Professional Self-Starter who has passion for the industry.
- Must have great interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
- Bilingual (English and Spanish), a plus; yet not required.
