This position’s responsibilities include joining together optical fibers, which are used in telecommunications and data networking.

Responsibilities : As a Fiber Splicer at Deeply Digital, you will be responsible for : Fiber Optic Splicing : Efficiently splice and terminate fiber optic cables to ensure optimal performance and minimal signal loss.

Troubleshooting : Identify and troubleshoot fiber optic issues, ensuring timely resolution to minimize service disruptions.

Quality Assurance : Conduct rigorous quality checks to guarantee that splicing work meets industry standards and our company's high-quality expectations.

Documentation : Maintain accurate records of splice locations, cable routes, and other relevant data for future reference.

Safety : Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team. Equipment Maintenance : Perform routine maintenance on splicing equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.

Collaboration : Collaborate with the network engineering and operations teams to coordinate and execute fiber optic projects efficiently.

Requirements : To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications : Experience : Proven experience in fiber optic splicing, with a minimum of X years of hands-on experience.

Certifications : Relevant certifications such as FOA (Fiber Optic Association) or equivalent are a plus. Technical Skills : Proficiency in using splicing equipment, fusion splicing, and OTDR testing.

Attention to Detail : Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in splice work. Safety : Committed to following safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.

Travel : Be willing to travel regionally inside of Western Colorado. Overnight trips are common for this position. Team Player : Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Physical Stamina : Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including working in various weather conditions and confined spaces.
