About the role :
The Senior EHS Consultant Business Continuity will be working either on site at one of our client locations as an extension of their Safety / Security organization and / or working on a variety of consulting projects from BSI’s offices in Northern or Southern California Pacific Northwest, or Arizona .
Projects are variable and challenging.
Senior EHS Consultant Business Continuity Responsibilities :
- Execution of Risk Assessments / Business Impact Analysis / Business Continuity planning
- Development of Emergency Management or Business Continuity programs independently
- Developing and delivering Emergency Management and Business Continuity training
- Continuity of Operations (COOP) principles
- Incident Command Structure (ICS) principles
- Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) methodologies
- National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards
- Hazard identification
- Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) or Emergency Action Plan (EAP) development
- Emergency Management or Business Continuity assessments / general program compliance audits
- Scheduling meetings and working with client employees directly in a professional manner.
- Supporting Emergency Management and Business Continuity Team development
- Developing and / or executing emergency drills or exercises
- Writing technical reports
Education / Qualifications :
- Bachelor or master’s degree in science or EHS related field
- 7-10 years of experience in Business Continuity, Emergency Management, or Security
- Writing or supporting development of emergency plans an business continuity plans
- Developing or conducting drills and exercises of different sizes and scopes
- May be required to work with or in an environment that contains chemicals or hazardous materials
- Familiarity with WebEOC, E-TEAM, Veoci or other incident management software
- Familiarity with OnSolve, Everbridge, RAVE, or other emergency notification tools
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) certification
- Other emergency management or business continuity certifications will be considered, such as CHEP, CEDP, or any certification from Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRI)
- Working knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards for Emergency Management a plus but not required
- Experience with decontamination in a healthcare setting a plus but not required
- Experience in Security or Supply Chain a plus but not required

The salary for this position can range from $98,000 - $140,000 annually; actual compensation is based on various factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's competencies, level of experience, education, location, divisional budget and internal peer compensation comparisons.
