Job Description Summary
Oakland University’s Department of Professional and Continuing Education (PACE) provides discounted SAT preparation courses for students and community members in partnership with Kaplan Test Prep.
The prep courses are held on campus, although the program has recently expanded to include partnerships with local high schools who have requested on-site SAT prep for their students.
We are looking for instructors to teach for the SAT Preparation Program, either on OU’s main campus or off-site at local High Schools.
Instructors would be paid $40 / hour to provide 21 hours of class instruction and to proctor 2 full-length SAT practice test (29 hours total).
Instructors will also receive 1 paid hour of training from PACE to help them prepare for the course. Instructors will be provided with an extremely detailed Teacher’s Edition that goes with the book students receive as part of the program in addition to pre-designed Power Points that complement the Teacher’s Edition;
instructors have the freedom to edit these materials and utilize them as they see fit. Minimum Qualifications : Certified high school teachers who have a strong grasp of high school Math and English concepts are preferred.
