LaSalle Network is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant Payroll to join our client’s dynamic finance team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll management, self-funding and possess excellent analytical skills.
Our client is a large, driven healthcare company based outside of downtown Nashville, TN. This position offers a hybrid work model.
Senior Accountant Payroll Responsibilities :
- Oversee and manage the full-cycle payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payroll disbursement
- Manage and maintain self-funded payroll systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Perform payroll reconciliations, ensuring all payroll transactions are accurately recorded in the general ledger
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local payroll laws and regulations
- Prepare and analyze payroll reports, including monthly, quarterly and annual payroll summaries
- Manage payroll tax filings, ensuring accurate and timely submission of payroll taxes and other related documents
- Assist with internal and external payroll audits, providing necessary documentation and support
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in payroll operations
- Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing excellent customer service
Senior Accountant Payroll Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- 2+ years of experience as a Senior Accountant with a focus on payroll management and self-funding
- Strong understanding of payroll processes and self-funding mechanisms
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
