Charter School Seeking an Experienced Architecture / Engineering Teacher
Job Description :
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Architecture and Engineering Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in architecture, engineering, or a related field, and a deep enthusiasm for teaching high school students.
This role involves designing engaging lessons that blend theory with hands-on experiences in architecture and engineering.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and teach courses in architecture and engineering.
- Provide hands-on learning using industry-standard tools and software (AutoCAD / Revit).
- Guide students through project-based assignments that address real-world challenges.
- Prepare students for industry certifications in architecture and engineering.
- Collaborate with faculty to enhance interdisciplinary learning and integrate technology.
- Mentor students and offer career guidance in architecture, engineering, and related fields.
- Stay current with industry trends and incorporate them into the curriculum.
- Engage with the local professional community for student internship and networking opportunities.
- Actively recruit students for the program and school.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Eligible for local teaching certification in Palm Beach County with 4 to 7 years of verifiable work experience.
- Professional experience in architecture, engineering, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of architectural and engineering principles, design software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.), and construction processes.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Passion for working with high school students in a creative, collaborative learning environment.
Desirable Skills :
- Experience with 3D printing, robotics, or related technologies.
- Ability to integrate technology into the classroom to enhance learning.
Job Type : Full-time
Pay : $53,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
