Safeguarding Adults Board Business Manager

We are seeking Business Manager to enhance the quality and effectiveness of our Safeguarding Adults Board Team.

What will be expected from me?

You will be responsible for the development and delivery of key products and initiatives as required by the Board, including business strategy, an outcome focussed performance framework, training, and communication strategies.

This will involve providing significant contribution to the development of policy and practice through the work of the Board’s sub-groups and partnership working arrangements.

What I might be doing?

• You will deliver statutory, strategic and assurance functions and build relationships and engagement to ensure the SAB is relevant and adds value as well as having the ability to respond to emerging themes and trends
• You will build effective partnerships with all key stakeholders for Safeguarding Adults across Wakefield with the aim of supporting the SAB to have the capacity and capability of fulfilling its statutory duties and meeting national and local priorities.
• You will coordinate and contribute to the management of the Safeguarding Adults Review process and implementation of lessons learned.

Essential requirements :

• Must be educated to degree level or above.
• A relevant, recognised professional qualification e.g. Social Work, Nursing, Police
• Professional qualification relating to one of the statutory member agencies (Health, Police, LA) in the Safeguarding Adults Board (SAB)
• You will need a strong understanding and knowledge in the field of safeguarding adults and adult protection, safeguarding legislation, national and local policy and statutory guidance
• Ability to support, challenge and engage with senior managers across all partner agencies of the SAB.
• Ability to present information to groups, to a high standard using a variety of mediums.
• Ability to manage projects and task groups.

• This is a Part time post of 22.20 hours per week, with a mix of office and community-based working possible.
