The Department of Medicine and the Division of Geriatric Medicine at the University of Ottawa and the Ottawa Hospital is looking for an Academic Geriatrician.

Responsibilities :
- Perform clinical services, teach and supervise medical students and residents
- Participate in medical research
- Clinical activities include an acute care inpatient Geriatric Medicine Unit, consultation teams at two campuses, and specialized ambulatory clinics
- Lead rural clinics, a regional Geriatric Emergency Management program, and Geriatric Assessment and Outreach teams
- Offer services in French at the Montfort Hospital
- Oversee the Memory Disorders program at the Elisabeth Bruyère Hospital
- Engage in various research activities such as clinical, health services delivery, and medical education
Qualifications :
- Specialist in Geriatric Medicine
- Eligible for medical practice licensure in Ontario
- Member of, or eligible for membership in, the Canadian Medical Protective Association
- Certification or eligibility for certification in Geriatric Medicine by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
- Eligible for an academic appointment at the rank of an Assistant Professor or higher at the University of Ottawa
- Bilingual (French / English) candidates preferred
