Job Summary :
The Facilities Management department has an opening for a full-time Human Resources Business Partner to work at the Anschutz Medical Campus and Denver Campus.
This position is responsible for the coordination and executing of Human Resources processes within the Facilities Management Department working with the Associate Vice Chancellor, the Directors, Managers and Supervisors and the Human Resources Department.
- Responsibilities include facilitation, documentation, and enhancement of the following : managing, processing, and ensuring the accuracy of the departmental payroll;
- the hiring process and maintaining a current vacancy roster and organization chart; ensuring new employees are fully prepared for working in the Facilities Management Department maintaining accuracy and timeliness of PeopleSoft personal data;
- support the Performance Management process; scheduling and documentation of the health and drug screening process; manage Facilities student employment program;
- maintaining updated departmental personnel files; Workers' Compensation and Family Medical Leave documentation and processing;
assist with policies and procedures development, and other duties as may be assigned.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist with the performance management processes, including planning, coaching, goal setting and evaluation.
- Provide guidance and support in handling employee relations matters, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
- Assist HR Program Manager with HR metrics and trends to provide insights and recommendations for HR initiatives. effectiveness and decision-making.
- Posting positions and coordinating new employee's onboarding and offboarding.
- Utilize HRIS software for data entry, generating reports, and maintaining accurate employee information.
- Support human resources program manager and human resources principal professional on special projects.
- Accurately process payroll for employees, manage timekeeping systems, address discrepancies or issues related to hours worked.
- Provide responsive and helpful customer service to employees regarding human resources or payroll-related inquiries or issues.
- Accruals reconciliation between HCM and the third-party timekeeping system.
- Assist employees with FMLA / Worker's compensation related questions, including leave tracking and reviewing documentation.
- Recruitment coordination and outreach.
- Manage Facilities student employment program.
Work Location :
Hybrid - This role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 2 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings in either Aurora, CO or Denver, CO .
Facilities Management is over the Anschutz Medical Campus and Denver Campus. This role may be required to report in person on both campuses (Anschutz Medical Campus 75% and Denver 25%).

Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications :
- A bachelor's degree in public administration, public policy, business, higher education administration, social sciences, behavioral sciences, or a directly related field from an accredited institution
- 2 years of professional-level human resources experience
A combination of education and related technical / paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Prior human resources experience within a higher education setting.
- Exposure to working with a variety of different HR systems, including PeopleSoft HCM and timekeeping systems. (Kronos)
- Experience managing and documenting Workers' Compensation and Family Medical Leave issues.
- Experience with State personnel laws, rules, regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
- Experience with position management of University Staff and Classified (State) staff and COWINS.
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or SPHR is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and evaluate a broad range of laws, rules, and regulations in order to exercise good judgment in applying them to human resource challenges.
- Knowledge of the professional standards, concepts, and practices of recruitment and selection, employee relations, or organizational development and human resource policy.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally, including public speaking.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
- Expertise in using HR analytics to identify insights, forecast trends and facilitate informed decision-making.

Anticipated Pay Range :
The starting salary range for this position has been established as $51,368 - $65,340
The above salary range ( or hiring range ) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
