Performs general maintenance work to ensure Resort and surrounding buildings maintenance quality standards are achieved and maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Able to maintain a professional attitude and appearance
- Mechanically inclined - having a natural aptitude or skill for understanding, working with and fixing mechanical systems, machines.
- Assists with preventative maintenance and complete work orders such as replace ceiling tiles, light bulbs, patching vinyl, etc.
to maintain the Resort and keep the product up to quality standards.
- Performs preventative maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis.
- Assists in checking and making minor repairs to electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, television sets, lighting systems and makes minor repairs and or replacements.
- Assists in checking and making minor repairs on general plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipe lines, toilets and sinks, and kitchen equipment.
- Refurbishes furniture and fixtures within the property such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows and counters. Paints and finishes as needed.
- Ability to install and or repair flooring such as ceramic tile, vinyl, carpet, etc.
- Ability to work various shifts as the needs of the property changes.
- Rooms PM as needs of the property dictate.
- Timely response on answering and reporting status (follow-up) on radio calls.
- Must be willing and able to be responsive to guest issues and willing to pitch in and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
- Assist all guests, guest functions and all group set-ups as required.
- Must provide own small hand tools.
- Any and all reasonable requests of management
Qualifications
- Basic maintenance abilities required.
- At least a minimum of 1 -2 years of maintenance experience in a hospitality environment preferred
- Ability to take & follow directions
- Good customer service skills
- Ability to self motivate and manage time & activity
- Mechanically inclined
- High school graduate or equivalent
