What you will be doing :
- Perform daily payroll department operations such as but not limited to new hire paperwork, employee reimbursements, court ordered support notices, etc.
- Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
- Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits.
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
- Supports yearly audits and coordinate month-end processing of reports, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Generate bi-weekly and monthly reporting for Human Resources and Operations.
- Respond to employee inquiries about health, retirement, and life benefit programs.
- Review and validate payroll transactions, including wage adjustments and benefit deductions.
- Process benefit enrollments
- Maintain accurate personnel files and handle employee change requests.
- Process monthly billings and invoices for group benefit plans.
- Support the processing of STD and LTD claims.
- Assist in the annual open enrollment process.
- Assist in processing employee 401(K) changes.
- Other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for :
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- Ideally 2 years of experience processing payroll, benefits, or administrative experience.
- Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven ability to meet daily and weekly deadlines.
- Customer Service minded professional with a desire to build relationships both internally and externally.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with advanced working knowledge of Excel.
