Catalent’s Kansas City facility is home to our Oral & Specialty Drug Delivery, Biologics Analytical Services and Clinical Supply Services businesses.

The site provides a range of integrated services for oral solid dosage forms, from formulation development and analytical testing to clinical and commercial-scale manufacture.

The Kansas City facility is a Center-of-Excellence for our Biologics Analytical Services business. Our talented team has over 25 years of experience providing analytical services for stand-alone and integrated biologics projects.

Catalent Pharma Solutions in Kansas City, MO is hiring an Associate Buyer who will work alongside operational teams to ensure appropriate inventory levels for supplies and consumables, setup inventory management processes (Kanban, min / max), and support material receipts and payments to vendors.

This is a full-time salaried role. The core hours are Monday Friday, 9 : 00AM 5 : 00PM

The Role

• Coordinates inventory levels and procurement activities for various groups on site;
• Help setup inventory management processes such as Min / Max or Kanbans;
• Support MRO & Direct materials buyers with open purchase orders and associated invoices;
• Send out approved PO’s to appropriate vendors and assist with order confirmations;
• Support any receipt issues to ensure payments are made in a timely manor;
• Assist site procurement department with cost avoidance and cost savings efforts;
• Work with back office for processing of orders;
• Support Continuous Improvement projects;
• All other duties as assigned;

The Candidate

• High School diploma or equivalent required, Associates degree preferred;
• 2+ years of experience in materials management, procurement, supply chain, or related field preferred;
• ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification preferred;
• Knowledge of ERP systems (JDE 9.2 preferred);
• Knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Word) required;
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills with internal and external customers, peers and managers required;
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills are required;
• Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds;
