Compensation : $67,000-73,000 annual, commensurate with experience . Benefits include medical, dental, vision, acupuncture, mental health Teladoc, Long term disabilities, and Life insurance;

Position Description :
Dolores Street Community Services (DSCS) Health Promotor / a / x model assures every Latina / o / x and indigenous individuals in San Francisco is connected to a medical home, psychosocial support, economic relief, food assistance, legal aid, work, vocational services, and other support services.
Our Health Promotor / a / x model has demonstrated to be an effective community centered strategy to support COVID-19 mitigation efforts and other communicable health issues.
This program is responsible to provide support services to our Adult Permanent Supportive Housing program Casa Quezada.
The Program Manager of the Nuestro Bienestar Program is responsible for all aspects of program development and management.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide supervision to a team of Health Promotors, including Lead Health Promotor to address health needs and challenges with community driven methods.
- Manage weekly calendar of responsibilities and shifts
- Oversee implementation of activities and funds for multiple contract objectives for Nuestro Salud y Bienestar program.
- Track and report regularly on contract objectives and remain in communication with funding sources
- Coordinate communications, meetings, and training and technical assistance; liaison with key internal stakeholders and partners on enhancing program strategies to meet deliverables.
- Design culturally appropriate educational campaigns to improve understanding of community and individual wellness
- Informed of rapidly changing developments in the Health Promotor / a / x training field and adapt the trainings program as needed.
- Provides orientation and training to Health Promotor / a / x within program or service planning area
- Develop methods, procedures, and systems to measure the effectiveness of the program.
- Maintain a database for trainee tracking, measuring the number Health Promotor / a / x certifications.
- Attend regular program meetings and regular training as assigned by DSCS, as needed.
- Remain flexible to meet evolving workflows
- Work in partnership with other DSCS departments
Other Organizational Duties :
- Participate on the agency's Strategic Leadership Team and other agency committees as needed
- Conduct business in accordance with the DSCS Employee Handbook, exercising sound judgment and serving the best interests of the agency and the community.
- Advocate in meetings for funding opportunities that support DSCS program that serve in the best interest of the community
- Commit yourself to treating each community member with respect and dignity.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Background in and passion for working with low-income and immigrant communities around issues of affordable housing, land use, and / or immigrant & worker rights;
familiarity with these issues in the Mission District and San Francisco, highly desired.
- Bachelor's degree in public health, Community Health OR demonstrable commensurate experience
- Exhibit a professional, compassionate, and positive attitude and work ethic to Spanish-speaking individuals who may be experiencing a crisis and / or in distress
- Ability to quickly gain trust and develop rapport
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and empathetic communication skills
- Critical thinking and sound judgment required
- Ability to handle confidential information according to HIPPA with discretion and professionalism, and maintain ethical boundaries and professional conduct
- San Francisco resident with familiarity of the city's geography and communities highly preferred
- Knowledge and sensitivity to issues of diversity in the Latina / o / x community including gender, race, language, immigration status, sexual orientation, and socio-economic status
- Tech savvy with a range of technologies-phone systems, databases, referral pages - and knowledge of software used for reporting, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases, e.
g. Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with programs and initiatives to meet the needs of underserved communities
- Bilingual in spoken and written Spanish and English, REQUIRED.
