Business Systems Analyst w/SAP-FICO

Job Summary

Vicor Corporation is in search of a talented SAP FI / CO Business Analyst. This individual will be the SAP FI / CO subject matter expert for Vicor for a new implementation of SAP S / 4 Hana scheduled in early 2025.

Post go-live, you will be the main contact for phase 2 implementations, along with maintenance and management of the existing install of SAP for Financial systems and Cost Accounting.

You will be expected to engage directly with Finance executives, cost accounting, manufacturing, warehousing, transportation, SAP users, production accounting, IT management and other business teams to deliver high quality solutions and enhancements for a new manufacturing install of SAP.

The FI / CO Business Analyst will play a key role in the implementation and development of core business processes moving forward for the company.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for solving complex problems; design, configure, test and implement solutions for the SAP FI / CO.
• Analyzes business needs, documents requirements and translates needs into functional, non-functional and / or technical specifications.

Performs analysis, and evaluates downstream business, systems, process, and / or organizational impacts.

• Analyzes the process to be implemented, defines system requirements in terms of system capabilities and configures SAP.
• Maintains a high level of functional competency regarding standard SAP FICO configuration and keeping current on SAP trends & future enhancements.
• Collaborates with the development team in order to achieve desired end-results on complex problems by delivering scalable business process solutions.
• Plans and assists with oversight of testing processes and activities including defect identification and resolution.
• Advises business partners on the implications of standard or new SAP solutions that can be applied to a problem.
• Experience and knowledge in key integration points of FI / CO with WM, MM, PP and SD modules.
• Work with the Cutover Team to deploy the final configurations and data conversion elements to the production environment.

Education / Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years configuration experience in SAP FI / CO (Financial Accounting and Controlling) in a Manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience performing SAP Implementations from Legacy ERP Systems
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field preferred.
• SAP Certification in FI / CO highly desired.
• Strong business process knowledge on Product Costing in SAP for a manufacturing company. Must fully understand additive costs, sub-contracting, yields and manufacturing rates / overheads.
• Extensive hands-on functional design and configuration experience, including detailed specifications for user exits, utilities, interfaces, reports, etc.
• Accountable for maintaining integrations with SAP FI / CO module. Supporting the environment and batch schedules to support these integrations.

Additional experience with any of the following is highly desirable : Esker (A / P automation), Corpay, Avalara Tax Software, Concur Travel, Oanda, ADP, Dunn & Bradstreet.

It's crucial for the candidate to have manufacturing experience. Vicor operates a complex manufacturing facility in Andover MA along with many subassembly contractors and consignment suppliers.

Standard Costing with 5 6 cost elements is typical for our final assemblies.

• Financial Reporting Expertise : Expertise in financial reporting is a big plus. Also experience using SAP Embedded Analytics or SAP Analytics Cloud reporting tools is desirable.
• Experience delivering orientation and training to end users for new capabilities, enhancements and projects including writing documentation.
• Knowledge of FI / CO month end close processes such as currency translation of subsidiaries to USD for consolidation in SAP S4 / Hana.
