SUMMARY :
Merit Services is currently seeking an Applications Software Developer for our client in Toronto’s banking industry. As an Applications Software Developer, you’ll have the opportunity to work with the latest technology in the banking industry, including online banking platforms, mobile banking apps, and financial data analytics tools.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Develop software applications to meet client requirements
- Write and implement source code for new applications
- Conduct code testing and debugging to ensure reliability and efficiency
- Evaluate current applications and perform upgrades and improvements as necessary
- Create technical manuals to document new application design and code
- Collect, analyze, and incorporate user feedback to enhance software usability
- Design and create databases for specific use cases
- Determine necessary hardware configurations and system performance standards based on customer requirements, budget, and security needs
- Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and systems analysts to develop systems to support specific applications
- Provide clients with maintenance advice for software
- Perform additional related tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and Oracle
- Knowledge of programming principles and software design
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
