Job Summary
The Director, FAST & AVOD Distribution Operationswill serve as the technical subject matter expert for AMC Networks’ free, ad-supported content distribution, driving strategic process recommendations to optimizeoperational workflows against revenue growth goals.
This position reports to the Vice President, FAST & AVOD Revenue Strategy and sits within the CommercialRevenue organization.
Job Responsibilities
Maintain operational oversight of growing portfolio of FAST (Free, Ad-supported Streaming Television)& associated AVOD (Ad-supported Video-on-demand) content offerings on behalf of Revenue Strategy team.
Develop trusted relationships with internal stakeholders including Revenue Strategy, Global Technology & Operations, Ad Operations, Programming and Distribution teams to align on and executetimely priorities.
Serve as primary operational contact for distribution platforms on behalf of Revenue Strategy team; collaborating closely with Project Management Lead and Partner Operations Manager to onboard new platforms partners.
Maintain up-to-date documentation of distribution platform delivery specs & disseminateto relevant Global Operations & Technology stakeholders.
Continuously evaluate FAST / AVODmedia delivery health and identify opportunities to streamline processesand improve distribution timelines;
collaborate with internal and external teams to implement changes as needed.
Collaborate with VP, FAST & AVOD Revenue Strategyand Global Technology & Operations stakeholdersto define best practices, develop operational strategy, and propose systemenhancements across on-going FAST / AVOD media and distribution workflows.
Collaborate with Channels Distribution Project Manager to troubleshoot QC failures flagged by distribution vendor and platform partners, escalating endemic issues to relevant stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Track FAST / AVOD media delivery volumes and FAST / AVOD distribution vendor costs; support preparation of annual expense budgets and quarterly rolling forecasts.
Drive annual roadmap conversations Global Technology & Operations, ensuring successful infrastructure planning against FAST / AVOD growth goals
Qualifications (Required & Preferred)
Bachelor’s degreepreferred
8-10years experience in media operations, with a focus on optimizing workflows and processes
In-depth knowledge of digital content delivery workflows required
Proven ability to cultivate strong cross-functional relationships with technical teams
Highly organized and proactive, with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work across multiple functions at varying levels of seniority
Must be proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel. Airtable a plus
The base compensation range for this position is $120,000.00 to $140,000.00 commensurate with experience.
