Our client in the professional services industry, based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is currently seeking a Business Systems Analyst.
The individual will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including the review and enhancement of financial applications, working closely with various teams to ensure the delivery of technology projects, and troubleshooting application issues.
Responsibilities :
- Review and enhance financial applications to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Collaborate with the Financial Systems and other Business Systems Analysts teams on technology project roadmaps
- Troubleshoot and escalate application issues as necessary
- Work closely with various business stakeholders and IT teams to develop and improve integrations with other applications
- Maintain an understanding of financial and accounting concepts, applying them to implement best practices or process improvements
- Update and maintain system documentation for financial systems
- Adhere to compliance standards by maintaining logs and approvals of system changes
- Develop skills and work with other business applications
- Manage multiple assignments, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions
- Work well independently and as a team member.
While this role is heavily focused on technology systems, it requires a classically trained accountant who understands the full cycle of accounting and how it flows through the system for accurate and timely reporting.

- Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst preferably with ERP implementation or upgrade exposure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
- Experience with Oracle software is a plus
- Familiarity with System Analysis methodologies and techniques
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
