Food Safety Manager

As a Food Safety Specialist at Yarzin Sella, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our food safety standards.

Working closely with the global food safety manager, operations team, and on-sites team. your primary focus will be on quality systems and providing essential support to maintain safe and quality product.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Enforce Compliance : Actively manage and enforce Health, General Safety, and Food Safety compliance. Ensure the implementation and adherence to company policies, safety laws, and regulations.
• Training Programs : Implement training programs for new and existing employees. Develop training SOPs and leverage technology for scalability and program tracking.
• Examination of food safety processes on sites : Oversight and Evaluation of Culinary Procedures with a Focus on Ensuring Food Safety.
• Daily management of potential risks within kitchens.
• Support Managers and Chefs in Identifying Possible Solutions to Ensure Food Safety

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• At least two years of experience in Food Safety, food technology, or project management within the food industry. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in kitchens, factories, and quality controls of catering establishments, demonstrating a commitment to food safety.
• Knowledge of Food Safety (FDA, FMSA, HACCP principals, GMPs, SOPs and SSOPs, Pest Control, Allergen Control & Recall programs).
• Direct experience with AIB, SQF or similar food industry production audits.
• Proven track record of ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation.
• Ability to manage processes and multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal collaboration skills with a high level of emotional intelligence.

Travel Requirements :

Company-wide, 60% across multiple states

Physical Qualifications

• Must be able to perform the following physical activities for described length of time.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.
• Ability to work in various environments including refrigerated / frozen facilities.
• Sits, stands, or walks for extended periods of time.
• Bending, stooping, and twisting required periodically.
• Prolonged time sitting in cars or airplane.
• Uses calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday.
