Reporting to the ExecutiveChef responsibilities and essential job functions include but arenot limited to thefollowing :
- Consistently offerprofessional friendly and proactive guest service while supportingfellow Colleagues
- Prepare and service all fooditems for a la carte and / or buffet menus according to hotel recipesand standards
- Actively share ideas opinions andsuggestions in daily shift briefings
- Maintainproper rotation of product in all chillers to minimizewastage / spoilage
- Ensure storeroom requisitionsare accurate
- Have full knowledge of all menuitems daily features and promotions
- Ensure thecleanliness and maintenance of all work areas utensils andequipment
- Follow kitchen policies proceduresand service standards
- Follow all safety andsanitation policies when handling food andbeverage
- Other duties asassigned
Qualifications :
- Previousexperience in the Culinary field
- Basic workingknowledge of knives and knife skills.
- Workingknowledge of kitchen equipment to include but not limited to aslicing machine small wares equipment.
- Workingknowledge of health safety and sanitationprocedures.
- Working knowledge of weightsmeasures and various cookingtechniques.
- Excellent customer serviceskills.
- Professional appearance anddemeanor.
- Ability to speak read and write inEnglish.
