CLA is looking to hire a SQL / ETL Developer - Lead to join our growing Internal IT team. About the role : We are seeking a skilled SQL / ETL Developer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for 75% ETL development and 25% SQL Dev work, ensuring our systems are secure, reliable, and efficient.

As a SQL / ETL Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our ETL pipelines and ensuring that they meet our company's standards. Essential Job Functions :

• Develop, design, and maintain complex ETL pipelines.
• Create and optimize complex SQL queries, including the ability to write complex stored procedures and functions.
• Leverage Azure Synapse and Databricks for large scale data analytics.
• Refactor existing SSIS pipelines to enhance efficiency and migrate them seamlessly to Azure Synapse, ensuring a modernized data architecture and improved scalability.
• Identify and troubleshoot pipeline issues and performance problems, including analyzing performance metrics, diagnosing problems, and tuning notebooks or processes to optimize performance.
• Collaborate with software developers, business partners and other stakeholders to gather and interpret business requirements to ensure that integrations meet all specifications.
• Work with vendors to stay up-to-date with new technologies, features, and trends.
• Document designs, data flows, dependencies, and integration points for operational support.
• Analyze data and identify performance related gaps and provide solutions wherever applicable.
• Develop monitoring plans for proactive support of pipelines both on-prem and in the cloud.
• Create, document and support disaster recovery planning and procedure development. What you will need :
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in SQL development and ETL development on the Azure Cloud platform.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Strong proficiency in SQL Server development tools, including SQL Server Management Studio, Azure Data Studio, and Azure SQL Database.
• Experience in Azure Cloud platform features such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, and Cosmos.
• Familiarity with data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
• Strong knowledge of T-SQL programming, database design, and optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with performance tuning and optimization techniques.
• Ability to write complex stored procedures, functions, and SQL queries.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
