We are seeking a motivated Construction Project Coordinator to join our client's team. The Project Coordinator will play a key role in supporting project managers and ensuring the successful execution of construction projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction project management, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities :
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and management of construction projects from initiation to completion.
- Create and maintain project schedules, plans, and documentation.
- Monitor project progress, timelines, and milestones.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Track project expenses and help manage project budgets.
- Prepare and distribute project status reports and updates to stakeholders.
- Assist in the resolution of issues and challenges that arise during construction projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support the project team with administrative tasks and documentation management.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Project Coordinator at a General Contractor doing commercial construction.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and techniques.
- Proficiency in project management software / tools (e.g., Primavera, Procore, Microsoft Project).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently when necessary.
- Knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices.
- PMP certification or other relevant certifications (preferred but not required).
