What will you do?
A day in the life of a Senior Accounting Analyst at VF looks a little like this.
As part of the VF Accounting team, this position is responsible for high level financial reporting to senior finance management and to various external entities in accordance with required accounting standards and regulations.
This position is assigned to a combination of internal and external reporting and analysis responsibilities and financial accounting projects.
The Senior Accounting Analyst also assists with monthly forecast, annual budget process and the 5-year strategic plan process for the brands they support.
Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.
- Responsible for month end closing by preparing and entering closing journal entries.
- Analyze month end results and consolidate variance explanations.
- Prepare, coordinate, and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated reporting package to internal management and VF corporate;
assist in preparation of quarterly reporting presentations to VF Corporate.
- Prepare account reconciliations of assigned accounts for the Coalition and prepare analysis and reporting on all reconciled accounts.
- Assist with monthly forecast, annual budget process and the 5-year strategic plan process.
- Manage special projects and ad hoc reporting.
What do you need to succeed?

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 3-5 years of experience and professional achievements.
The foundation skills you will need in this position are :
- Advanced Excel and PC skills required
- Ability to handle and resolve complex issues to completion
- Must be able to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field strongly preferred
- CMA or CPA License
- SAP experience
