We are looking for a Substance Use Disorder / Co-Occurring Therapist to join our Outpatient Therapy Team with a Monday - Friday schedule.
The Therapist carries clinical responsibility for patients assigned for intake, evaluation and treatment. He / she collaborates clinically with other staff and participates with them in evaluating the services and planning future goals and objectives.
Each Therapist may and is encouraged to participate in additional responsibilities in special areas of interest. Start and Stay Bonuses offered!
WHAT YOU'LL DO :
- Provide intake / evaluation services as member of multi-disciplinary team
- Complete intake paperwork
- Assessments
- Case presentation and assignment
- Provide ongoing therapy to assigned clients (and their families when appropriate) :
- Individual
- Groups
- Family
- Serve as a member of multi-disciplinary team :
- Attend staffing and discipline meetings
- Responsible for assessment of own case load, work load, and working with team. supervisor / coordinator
- May participate in special areas of interest :
- Consultation and education
- Special interest groups including assertive training, family therapy, play therapy, individual services, summer camps, etc.
- Assess individuals' degree of drug dependency through therapeutic methods
- Conduct chemical dependency program sessions.
- Develop / modify client treatment plans to coordinate care and comply with changes in client status
- Work in a multi-disciplinary approach for the overall well-being of the client
WHAT YOU'LL NEED :
- Master's degree in related field required.
- LMHC or LISW licensure in State of Iowa is required.
- Prefer previous experience in the field of mental health, including individual and group therapy.
- Excellent public relations skills required
- Excellent written & verbal communications skills required
