Job Description : Jr. Engineer
Upwell Revenue Software is seeking a motivated and talented Junior Software Engineer to join our growing development team.
As a Junior Software Engineer, you will work closely with our team of engineers and product to design, develop, and maintain software solutions that drive our clients' success.
This role is perfect for a recent graduate or someone with 1-2 years of experience who is eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with the engineering team to design, develop, and implement software features and enhancements.
- Debugs existing software to correct errors, to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance.
- Integrates existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
- Assisting with developing and executing test procedures for software components.
- Analyzes systems flow, data usage and work processes, and investigates problem areas.
- Develops simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to company standards.
- Work closely with the product and design teams to understand user requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve your skills and the team's capabilities.
Qualifications :
- Entry-level Software Engineer position.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1-2 years of experience in software development, internships, or relevant coursework.
- Proficiency in NextJS, React, and TypeScript
- Some Knowledge of RESTful APIs and GraphQL
- Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing using frameworks like Jest and Cypress.
- Basic understanding of web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and take on challenges.
- Experience with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) is a plus.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is an advantage.
