We are currently seeking a Float Phlebotomist to work with our hospital team at Swedish First Hill, a 500+ bed Quaternary care facility in downtown Seattle.

As a float you will also be asked to work at Swedish Cherry Hill, Ballard, and Issaquah hospital campuses as needed. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service and perform skilled specimen collections.

In addition, you will be provided opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

Pay Range : $20.07 / hourly - $31.65 / hourly plus 3rd shift differential

Float Incentive : Additional $2.00 / hr plus mileage reimbursement

Work Schedule : Thursday to Saturday, 10 : 00pm - 6 : 30am

Work Location : Seattle, Ballard, Issaquah

Benefits : All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience and the terms of the collective bargaining agreement between Dynacare Northwest, Inc.

and United Food and Commercial Workers Union, Local 21. Regular, full-time or part-time employees working 24 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including : Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD / LTD, 401(K), accrue up to 18 days of Annual Leave per year (includes 8 holidays) and Sick Leave (0.

0333 hours of sick leave for each hour of work).

Job Responsibilities :

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed

Job Requirements :

  • Must have valid Washington issued Phlebotomy License or have an application for Phlebotomy License filed with Washington Department of Health at time of hire
  • Previous experience as a phlebotomist
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
