Job Description Qualifications :
The F / A-18 Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) team has an exciting opportunity for an Avionics Integration Engineer supporting F / A-18 International Government Services in Hazelwood, MO.
The Avionics Integrator serves as a member of an international customers dedicated sustainment team consisting of a program manager, avionics integrator, air vehicle integrator, and logistics integrator.
The primary role of the Avionics Integrator is to coordinate and develop solutions to a variety of issues encountered during the sustainment and upgrade phase of the aircraft lifecycle including participating in aircraft upgrade and sustainment planning, leading integration activities associated with changes in aircraft configuration, coordinating depot repairs and engineering investigations, managing engineering change proposals, and assisting with rough order magnitude requests to aid in future fleet planning.
This is an excellent customer-facing opportunity to gain experience interfacing with diverse customers, partner with program management to achieve program objectives, demonstrate leadership skills, and expand professional networks.
As part of an experienced small team you will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of aircraft program sustainment.

Position Responsibilities :
Working directly with US Navy and international customers to understand avionics hardware and software issues and to develop solutions with the support of the Boeing functional engineering teams to meet or exceed customer requirements
Facilitating tasking and communication between Boeing, US Navy, and foreign military customers in support of international country F / A-18 program objectives
Coordinating with multi-disciplined teams, including air vehicle and logistics integrators, other engineering functions, contracts, and export control
Responding to requests for proposals, technical information, and other queries
Assisting in resolving problems generated during flight and maintenance operations
Delivering CDRLs and other customer requirements
Managing problem investigations, tracking, reporting and resolution
Participating in In-Service Support Reviews (ISSRs), Technical Coordination Meetings (TCMs), and other meetings as required
Some International and / or domestic travel is required
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
An interim and / or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience) :
Bachelors degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or similar
Experience in avionics engineering
Experience leading or managing process improvement projects
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience) :
Experience working with or on tactical aircrafts
Experience in a Global Trade Controls related role
Typical Education & Experience :
Education / experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.
g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.
g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
