Job Description

As an Engineer on the Rail Water Resources team, you will provide various engineering duties related to hydrologic / hydraulic analysis for Class I Railroad projects.

You will assist with developing the project scope and schedule, prepare technical reports, review CAD drawings, and obtain local, state, and federal permits for water resources related projects.

This role contributes to generating ideas and creating designs that provide purposeful, high-quality solutions to successfully solve engineering and design needs.

Travel is required to job sites for field reconnaissance in all types of terrain and weather conditions.

We have one current opening and will consider candidates interested in being based out of our Lincoln, NE or Omaha, NE locations.

Qualifications

You bring to the team :

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to contribute and work well on a team
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Must be a registered Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Prior related water resource engineering experience.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS or other related hydrologic and hydraulic software is preferred.
  • Solid interpersonal, problem-solving, communication (verbal and written) and decision-making skills.
  • Has advanced mathematical and analytical abilities.
  • Has a valid driver's license and a good driving history.
  • Has a willingness to work a flexible schedule.
