Summary / Objective
Blackwatch is in search of a technician with mechanical and technical aptitude to learn the semiconductor facility support industry.
The position requires organization, multi-tasking, collaborative teamwork, and exceptional services in support of the Defense Microelectronics Activity a Federal Research & Development (R&D) facility.
This hands-on position will perform a range of mission-critical semiconductor manufacturing support duties.
Responsibilities
- Assist semiconductor equipment engineers with preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Perform routine walkthroughs to document equipment, gas and chemical data.
- Perform chemical fills and drains following safety procedures and protocols.
- Perform routine safety inspections and removal of hazardous waste.
- Handle, store and ship hazardous chemicals, material and waste according to regulatory requirements.
- Manage inventory and stock cleanroom supplies, chemicals and gases.
- Assist with equipment and tool calibration scheduling.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Basic Qualifications :
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to manage and prioritize tasks.
- Flexible with change and willingness to learn new skills.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to perform physical actions such as frequent walking, standing for extended period, bend, stoop and lift / carry objects occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Experience with safe handling of process chemicals such as acids and solvents.
- Willingness to work in cleanroom or laboratory environments.
- Basic mathematics, chemistry, and electronics knowledge.
- Basic computer skills utilizing Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Desired Qualifications (not required, but a huge plus) :
- 2 Year Technical / Associates Degree in Science, Math, Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent military training / work experience.
- HAZMAT Certified
- CA Title 22 Hazardous Waste Generator Training
- Forklift and Aerial Lift Certified
- Experience supporting semiconductor manufacturing equipment or facility.
- Experience in cleanroom, wastewater, chemical, hazardous waste environments.
