This position is open to both full-time and part-time applicants.
Position Overview
As a remote Audiologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the munication needs of students. Your responsibilities will include :
- Conducting audiological assessments and evaluations.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for students with hearing impairments.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' educational goals.
- Providing counseling and guidance to students and families regarding hearing health.
- Promoting awareness of hearing issues and advocating for student needs within the school munity.
- Ensuring pliance with federal and state regulations related to audiology services.
Qualifications
To be an Audiologist working in a Texas school district, you must meet the following requirements :
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited institution.
- Valid Texas Audiologist license.
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or equivalent.
- Experience working with children, particularly in an educational setting, is preferred.
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of federal and state special education laws and practices.
