JOB TITLE : Bookkeeper (part-time)LOCATION : Johns Creek, GA MANAGER TITLE : Senior Director, Events & Operations SUMMARY : Responsible for supporting the bookkeeping needs and maintaining accurate financial records for Veterinary Management Groups (VMG).
Duties include recording financial transactions, such as member dues, receipts, and payments, into QuickBooks. Ensure that all financial data is organized and up-to-date, and also reconcile accounts, generate financial reports, and assist with other accounting and bookkeeping needs.
This person needs strong attention to detail, numerical proficiency, and knowledge of accounting principles and software.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : VSG Overall Banking and Reporting TasksDaily check for banking activity and recording in Quickbooks - includes approving ACH / EFT transactionsDaily check for lockbox activity and recording in QuickbooksRecord SOC income to shared file and notifying Commercial Development teamWhen payments are received by either check or directly to our bank account, record in both Quickbooks AND BILLSend weekly Operating Account transaction reports to CovetrusMaking journal entries including marking checks as paid and reissuing when they have expired after 60 days in BILLGeneralAct as primary liaison with ConnectCPA Pass-Through payments and Accruals (payments made on behalf of our preferred partners)Invoice providers for pass-through expenses and ensure that payment for the expense is paid once payment from the provider is received.
Maintain accruals spreadsheet (this is something that Tara and I can likely assist with)QuickBooksOnboard new member clinics as vendors in QuickBooksOnboard new members as customers in QuickBooksBill.
