SUMMARY :
This at-will position will collaborate with the care team to provide coordinate healthcare to patients living with complex multi-system disorders, with specific emphasis on health promotion, disease management and prevention.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

- Provides quality care to patients according to Metrodora medical protocols and funding source guidelines.
- Performs patient assessment to obtain a complete and accurate record of the patient’s clinical information and medical symptoms.
Orders tests and exams to object additional information as needed to ensure the proper and complete care of the patient.
- Analyzes and interprets patient test results and exams to obtain information to guide care.
- Diagnoses patient needs and determines a plan of care.
- Monitors patient conditions and progress to reevaluate treatments as necessary.
- Explains procedures and discusses test results or proposed treatments with patients.
- Collects patient information needed to customize tests and explains test procedures to patients.
- Specializes in treating and diagnosing medical conditions relating to neurology.
- Indicate artifacts or interferences derived from sources outside the brain such as poor electrode contacts or patient movement on electro-neurodiagnostic recordings.
- Monitors patients during tests or surgeries using electroencephalographs (EEG), evoked potential (EP) instruments, or video recording equipment.
- Conducts tests to determine cerebral health.
- Measures visual, auditory, or somatosensory evoked potentials (EPs) to determine responses to stimuli. Summarizes data to assist physicians in diagnosing brain, sleep, or nervous system disorders.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to create better patient outcomes.
- Enforces adherence to health care regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; respects the confidentiality of information learned while employed by Metrodora.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS :

Required Skills / Abilities :

Education and Experience :
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution required.
- Current state license as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Current DEA certificate.
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
