Our Company
We are Denver’s premier manufacturer of window covering products including shades, blinds, and drapery. We fabricate our products at our 30,000 square foot state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Arvada.
Our customers are commercial general contractors, and we install for commercial projects such as office buildings, hotels, hospitals and schools.
The Position
The Fabric Handler (FH) is responsible for managing the handling, storage, and distribution of various fabric materials within the facility.
This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with fabrics and will ensure the accurate movement and inventory of fabric materials to support production and warehouse operations.
Fabric Handler’s principal duties are below :
- Fabric Handling : Safely assist in receiving, unloading, and transporting fabric materials within the facility, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Inventory Management : Track and manage fabric inventory levels, including counting, labeling, and recording materials in the inventory system.
Conduct regular stock checks to ensure accurate inventory records.
Storage and Organization : Organize and store fabric materials in designated areas, ensuring easy access and efficient use of space.
Implement and maintain storage best practices to prevent contamination, wrinkles, or damage.
- Order Fulfillment : Prepare and deliver fabric materials to the production floor or shipping area according to work orders and schedules.
- Quality Control : Inspect fabric materials upon receipt and during handling to identify any defects or inconsistencies.
Report any issues to the appropriate department for further action.
Equipment Operation : Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move fabric materials.
Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
Documentation : Maintain accurate records of all fabric material transactions, including receiving, storage, transfers, and distribution.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to material handling.
- Safety : Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, ensuring a clean and organized work environment. Report any safety concerns or incidents to management immediately.
- Collaboration : Work closely with production, warehouse, and purchasing teams to ensure smooth and efficient material flow.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to resolve any material handling issues.
- Always maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Requirements What We are Looking For
- Education : High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience :
- Previous experience in material handling, warehousing, or related field, preferably with fabric materials.
- Familiarity with fabric types and handling best practices is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks (certification may be required).
- Skills :
- Must be organized and able to clearly, concisely, and effectively communicate with management, purchasing department, and the warehouse.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Must have excellent time management skills and be comfortable working under pressure and with firm deadlines.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and documentation.

Working Conditions
- Due to the nature of this role the FH’s role requires the following :
- The ability to walk on concrete and uneven surfaces for prolonged hours a day.
- This role involves working in a warehouse environment, with exposure to varying temperatures and conditions.
- The ability to routinely climb up and down stairs and ladders.
- Infrequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Compensation
Hourly rate of $17.00-$22.00 hour plus, based upon prior experience as a Fabric Handler
Eligible for overtime hours.
Additional employee benefits include :
- 401(k) plan with company match (after one year of employment).
- Work generally happens within the hours of 7am to 4pm. No significant overtime or travel.
- Health coverage for employee and 50% for dependents (the 1st of the month after 60 days of employment).
- Paid holidays (commencing after 90 days of employment).
- Eligible for summer Hours (i.e., Fridays off, 4 days 10 hours).
- 5 PTO days a year for initial year of employment, increasing with length of employment.
- Eligible for Christmas Break time off generally December 24th through January 3rd.
