Summary : This role will assist the Quality Manager in maintaining total quality forall productsand processeswithin the manufacturing facility.
Job Description :
- Leads the implementationand maintenance of various platformsand initiativesthatare required to maintainand improvethesafety, quality, andproductivityof production
- Cover multiple productlinesas defined by the QM
- Work with QM to develop andimplement QA / QC proceduresfor all product lines
- Perform admin quality control inspections on specialty products
- Assist allqualityengineers(inbound / outbound inspection, Continuous Improvement, Product)with any quality-related questions
- Ensure QA procedures are maintained by all operators (work instructions, QC per build station,Automated Testing,etc.)
- Capable of performing all final QC inspectionson an as needed basis
- Work with Plant Process & Industrial engineers on implementing ECN’s and PCI’s into assembly processes
- Workwith R&D and Regions on process related issues; paperwork issues, CLI’s, and drawing issuesthat arise
- Work withshipping to ensure products are being packaged and shipped correctly
- Ensure DRs and SNCRs are implemented on the plant floor and communicated to appropriate personnel / departments
- Supportthird party agencyplantaudits(UL, ETL, MiamiDade, etc.)
- Support production as needed
- Report to the Quality Manager (QM)
Job Requirements :
- 4+yrs experienceina manufacturing environment with focus in quality
- 4-year technical degree in a mathematical, mechanical, or electrical oriented curriculum
- Must be a leader, helping otherteam membersto grow their skills and enhance their product knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be meticulous and have exceptional attention to detail
- Multi-tasking and problem solving a must
- Strong desire to please the customer with perfect product quality and to maintain a safe work environment
Physical Requirements :
- Ability to work standing for extended periods of time
- Required to use ladder, forklift or other means to acquire parts for product assembly
- Able to use power & hand tools, as well as electrical testing and measuring equipment
- Ability to lift 35 to 50 pounds independently
